It’s John Piper, on the Prosperity Gospel. It’s less than 3 minutes long, and it is very good.

Worth watching again and again.

It’s such a disconnect how people equate spirituality with material success.
A few verses…
“for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” (Matthew 5:45b)
“There is one who makes himself rich, yet has nothing;
And one who makes himself poor, yet has great riches.” (Proverbs 13:7)
“And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (I Tim. 6:8-10)
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” (Matthew 6:19-20)
